About me.

Hi! I’m Robyn, and I’m glad you found your way here. 🙂
I’m a registered counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). I’m also a Buddhist chaplain (QSA), and the values of mindfulness and compassion are key to my work.
I’m a registered teacher too (having taught at high school and university in Australia and overseas) and a mother – experiences which give me a special perspective into the issues facing parents and families.
In addition, a Masters in Linguistics and years of life experience in culturally and linguistically diverse environments (plus a cross-cultural, bilingual marriage and family) have developed my sensitivity to the needs and issues which people face as migrants, minorities and refugees.
How I can help.

I can help you to:
- develop self compassion and emotional resilience to face times of anxiety, uncertainty, and high or prolonged stress
- work through confusion to get clear about what’s going on, why you’re feeling this way, and what you really want
- navigate overwhelm as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) in a world that’s always “on”
- create accountability for new habits, goals and personal growth
- explore questions of meaning, purpose and spirituality
- deal with the cultural and family issues which you may face as a person from a diverse background or in a cross-cultural relationship
- use EFT Tapping to achieve relief and emotional breakthroughs
As a “person-centred” therapist, I believe that each of us has the powerful potential for healing and growth – especially when we experience kindness, authenticity and understanding from another person on the same human journey. I also believe that you are the expert in your own life.
The counselling relationship is about uncovering your own inner wisdom, and you are always in control of what happens during therapy. My role is to listen compassionately and ask the questions which can guide you to insight and personally meaningful solutions.
Contact me today and discover your resilience, potential and purpose.
When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance…provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.
